CKS'S Dachshunds, Chihuahua's and
Cocker Spaniels- APRI Registered & AKC foundation
My name is Carla Hendrickson and we have
been raising dogs for 29 years. The Lord has blessed me with wonderful Christian Family that love and respect all animals.
We have raised several breeds of dogs over the
years but I must say in the last 16 years I have determined my favorite breed is the Dachshund.
My family and I work together caring for our dogs.
We are currently showing our dogs Through APRI and have Championed 34 to date and have several more on their way.
Our goal as a breeder is to try to
eliminate the back problems associated with the Dachshunds. We are aggressively breeding towards that goal and feel
our stock is getting closer every generation. We also concentrate on disposition, we want all of our puppies to
be a blessing to their owners with a long vibrant life.
We have the Standard and Miniature Dachshunds with smooth and long hair. We have English cream and Japan bred creams.
We also have very Tiny Miniature Doxies, they mature to 4 and 5
pounds.
Many colors including cream, brindle,
black and tan, red, red sable, cream, dapples in almost every color, piebald, chocolate,
blue and tan and Isabella.
In our Chihuahuas, we have toy and teacup. We have smooth
and long hair. We have many colors to choose from. We breed for longevity in our tiny puppies. Our goal is
to sell healthy puppies that will give their owners a lifetime of pleasure and companionship.
My daughter Skyllar has started raising Cocker Spaniels. she has an awesome male to get started. We are trying to
refine and make the Cocker spaniel more elegant. We feel they have been bred too coarse and this can cause many health issues
with them. We have a new litter due in a week. Dam is 14 pounds and sire is 16 pounds. We would like to develop a miniature version of the Cocker Spaniel.
Many love the wonderful diposition of the breed but find it size too big.
We also breed for Chaweenie's: ( 1/2 Dachshund and 1/2 Chihuahua). They make a wonderful
cross complementing characteristics from both breeds. We have four to five litters a year. We again breed for temperament. We have smooth and long coats.
We are excited about a new Hybrid cross
"The Docker" This is 1/2 Cocker Spaniel & 1/2 dachshund. We have sold our first litter and the new owners say
they are in love with this cross!
We are located in Mabank, Texas about 60 miles East of Dallas and 35 miles West of Tyler.
